Marion Cuif is a seasoned expert in marine sciences and environmental management with extensive experience across various organizations. Currently serving as the national coordinator for scientific expertise at IFREMER since September 2020, Marion has previously held notable positions such as deputy director of the Regional Laboratory of Rouen at Cerema and has worked with the French Ministry of Environment, Energy and Sea as a project manager focused on fisheries and aquaculture. Marion's academic background includes a PhD in marine ecology from IRD, where research centered on population connectivity through larval dispersion modeling. Additional experience encompasses evaluations of marine resource impacts, international economic studies in fisheries, and assessments of fishing pressure in New Caledonia. Educational qualifications include a degree in agricultural engineering with a focus on fisheries and aquaculture from AgroParisTech and a further degree from Ecole nationale du Génie rural, des Eaux et des Forêts.
