Sarah Adam has extensive experience in regulatory and scientific affairs within the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors. Currently serving as Associate Director for Regulatory Affairs and Head of Regulatory Science Policy – Africa at IFPMA since November 2016, Sarah previously held managerial roles in regulatory affairs at the International Council for Harmonisation (ICH) from October 2008 to October 2016. Sarah's academic background includes contributions as the Head of the Molecular and Cellular Biology Platform at Pharmapeptides, a research role at ISREC focused on pancreatic development, and postdoctoral work at the Salk Institute in virology. Sarah holds a Ph.D. in Embryonic Development and Molecular Biology from Institut de Génétique et de Biologie Moléculaire et Cellulaire / Boston University and a Master of Engineering in Biotechnology from the School of Engineering in Biotechnology and Molecular Biology. Additional qualifications include certifications in Good Practices in Clinical Trials and Medical Affairs.
