Mumun Gencoglu is an experienced professional with a strong background in regulatory affairs and product development. Currently serving as Associate Director of Regulatory Affairs at IFPMA since August 2017, Mumun has also co-founded myota, where responsibilities included Chief Research Officer and Head of Product from September 2019 to May 2022. Prior experience includes a postdoctoral fellowship at Universität Basel and a role as a chemical engineer at Aroma Bursa Fruit Juices and Food Ind. Inc. Mumun's educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Systems Biology from the University of Basel, a Master's degree in Biology from the University of Zurich, and a Master's degree in Chemical and Bioengineering from ETH Zürich, along with a Bachelor's degree in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from Koç University.
