Komal Kalha serves as the Deputy Director for Intellectual Property and Trade at IFPMA since August 2019, specializing in advocacy for global health solutions through intellectual property and trade policy with multilateral organizations. Previously, at USPTO, Komal held roles as Officer-in-Charge of the Office of South Asia and as Senior Counsel, advising on intellectual property rights for India and South Asian nations. Other notable experiences include serving as a Legal Advisor at Sahapedia.org, a member of UNESCO's Technical and Legal Advisory Team, and teaching Intellectual Property at National Law University, Delhi, and the Indian Law Institute. Komal's academic background includes an LLM in Intellectual Property Law from The George Washington University Law School and specialized studies in Intellectual Property Rights.
