Shara Alfred is an experienced drama educator with a career spanning over two decades, currently serving as a Drama Teacher and Rites of Passage Facilitator at Ifetayo Cultural Arts Academy, Inc. since October 2019. Shara's expertise includes facilitating acting instruction for students aged 6-15 and leading programs that empower young girls through cultural studies and financial literacy. Previous roles include Drama Instructor and StudyLab Teacher at Avenues: The World School, where Shara focused on improvisation and student-led presentations, and Drama Teacher at Store Front Academy, where Shara introduced dramatic arts to students through engaging techniques. Additionally, Shara worked as Creative Director of Dramatic Arts at Kamit Preparatory Institute, overseeing the afterschool theatre department while teaching preschool. Shara holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Mount St. Mary's College, earned between 1998 and 2001.
