Elmar Burgard has been working in the business industry since 2018. Elmar began their career at ifesca GmbH as a Chief Business Development in 2018. In 2019, they moved to Stadtwerke Werdau GmbH and currently serves as Geschäftsführer.

Elmar Burgard obtained a Master of Arts degree in Kommunalwirtschaft from Fachhochschule Eberswalde between 2014 and 2016. Prior to this, they obtained a Dipom Betriebswirt in Wirtschaftswissenschaften from Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences between 1982 and 1985.
