Md. Mizanur Rahman has over 10 years of experience in the procurement field. Md. Mizanur began their career in 2011 as a Senior Procurement Officer at Swisscontact-Katalyst, where they were responsible for ensuring quality in the procurement process and managing 8 different projects. In 2015, they moved to Jatra Bangladesh Limited as a Procurement Manager, where they were tasked with checking and testing sample quality, negotiating with vendors and developing procurement policies. In 2016, they took on the role of In-Charge Purchase at United Hospital Ltd, where they were responsible for developing product specifications and taking decisions for new procurement. In 2020, they joined Biswas Engineering & AC Equipment as a Purchasing Manager. Most recently, they began working as an Admin & Procurement Manager at iFarmer in 2021, where they are responsible for developing specifications for equipment, products, substitute materials and services, as well as planning, organizing, directing, controlling and evaluating the purchasing activities.
Md. Mizanur Rahman has a comprehensive education history. Md. Mizanur obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Accounting and Finance from the Asian University of Bangladesh between 2004 and 2005. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Business Administration from the same university between 1998 and 2001. Md. Mizanur has also obtained a number of certifications, including Logistics, Inventory and Store Management from DCCI Business Institute in March 2017, Public Procurement Management (PPA 2006 & PPR 2008) from Engineering Staff College, Bangladesh in November 2014, Contract Administration from Purchasing and Procurement Center in August 2013, Procurement Strategy, Negotiation and Cost Reduction from Strategia in March 2012, and VAT and Income Tax from ICMAB in July 2011 and July 2009.
