Fritz Frenkler is a distinguished professional in the field of industrial design, currently serving as the owner of f/p design since January 2000, and as the chair of the iF Design Award jury since 1996. Frenkler has been a board member of the iF Design Foundation since April 2018 and holds the title of Prof. Emeritus of Excellence at Technische Universität München (TUM) since October 2006, where also serves as a professor and chair of industrial design. As the director of the architecture section at Akademie der Künste since November 2021 and a visiting professor at HBK Braunschweig since May 2005, Frenkler has made significant contributions to academia. Educated at Hochschule für Bildende Künste Braunschweig, Frenkler received a degree in industrial and product design between 1977 and 1982.
