Alexis Elafros has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Alexis currently serves as the Director of Partnerships at iEducate since June 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Director of Operations from July 2021 to June 2022 and Senior Operations Manager from February 2021 to June 2021 at the same company. Before joining iEducate, they were the Systems Development Manager at iEducate from July 2019 to January 2021. Alexis also gained experience as an AmeriCorps VISTA - Operations & Resource Development from July 2018 to July 2019 at iEducate.
In 2020, Alexis worked at Leadership ISD as the Harris County Fellow, participating in a fellowship program that focused on education transformation and leadership roles in advocacy and governance.
Prior to these roles, they worked as a Family Assessment Writer at CK Family Services from September 2017 to July 2018 and as an After-School Behavioral Counselor at The Fay School from October 2017 to May 2018. Alexis was also an AmeriCorps Member at City Year from July 2016 to June 2017.
Alexis'searly work experiences include internships at Central Florida Urban League as an Event Planning Intern and at University of Central Florida Center for Law and Policy as a Social Justice and Policy Intern in 2015. Alexis also served as a Research and Development Intern at Families Empowered from May 2015 to July 2015.
Alexis Elafros attended the University of Central Florida from 2012 to 2016, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Sociology with a minor in Nonprofit Management. During their time at the university from 2014 to 2015, they also conducted an Undergraduate Research Study titled "Exploring an Individual's Ability to Recognize Privilege." In addition to their academic pursuits, Alexis has also obtained the certification of Certified Nonprofit Professional (CNP) from the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance.
