Jim Amweg is an accomplished software and firmware engineer with extensive experience across various roles and organizations. Since September 2020, Jim has been a contractor at iDoxSolutions, Inc., focusing on healthcare-related software development. Prior to that, Jim worked at Concord USA, Inc. for six years as a contract software developer, contributing to projects involving legacy code transformation and application development in C++. Jim's experience also includes positions as a senior software/firmware engineer at Silent Power and a senior firmware engineer at Landis+Gyr EMS, where Jim developed solutions for energy systems and automated meter infrastructure, respectively. Earlier roles include positions at AOI Industries, Applied Microsystems, Cabletron Systems, Wang Laboratories, and Ryan-McFarland Corp., showcasing expertise in firmware design, embedded software, and compiler development. Jim holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Sonoma State College.
