Arne von Bonin currently serves as Senior Director and Head of Biology at Idorsia Pharmaceuticals Ltd since July 2020. Prior to this role, Arne held the position of Chief Scientific Officer at Vaxxilon AG from July 2016 to June 2020, and was also Chief Scientific Officer and Board Member at AFFiRiS AG from July 2012 to July 2016. Earlier experience includes positions at BayerHealthCare, where Arne worked as Director of Global Biomarker and Project Manager for Research Reorganisation, and various roles at Bayer AG, including Innovation Manager and Principal Scientist with a focus on inflammation. Arne’s foundational research background includes leadership at the Bernhard-Nocht-Institute for Tropical Medicine and a postdoctoral position at Sandoz AG. Arne von Bonin earned a PhD in T Cell Biology/Immunology from the Max-Planck Institute for Immunobiology and has a comprehensive educational background from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz and Dilthey-Gymnasium in Wiesbaden.
