Kristen Warren

Lead Biomedical Engineer at IDION

Kristen Warren has extensive experience in the field of biomedical engineering. Kristen currently holds the position of Lead Biomedical Engineer at AION Biosystems since August 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a BME Consultant at digiD8 from July 2021 to July 2022.

From June 2016 to October 2021, Kristen was a Biomedical Research Engineer at EMBR labs, where they played a pivotal role in the development of the core technology for the Embr Wave device. Kristen was responsible for translating research on temperature changes and human physiological responses into thermal waveforms. Kristen also contributed to the launch of the company's second product, the Wave 2.

Before joining EMBR labs, Kristen worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 2015. Kristen assisted in teaching and grading assignments for the course BME 3503: Skeletal Biomechanics.

In 2012, Kristen served as a Research Technician at Keck Graduate Institute, where they worked on signal processing and analysis of electromyogram (EMG) signals. Kristen also updated and tested hardware and software for data acquisition purposes.

Kristen's earlier experience includes a Bioengineering REU role at the University of California, San Diego in 2011 and a grader position at Harvey Mudd College in 2011, where they evaluated student solutions for the class "Engineering Math."

Kristen also held a research technician position at Keck Graduate Institute in 2010, focusing on signal processing of EMG signals from the orbicularis oculi muscle.

Kristen Warren earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Engineering from Harvey Mudd College in 2012. Kristen later pursued their Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, which they completed in 2016.
