Lode Godderis serves as the Chief Executive Officer of IDEWE, Belgium's largest external service for workplace prevention and protection, a position held since August 2000. In addition to this role, Lode Godderis is the Director of Knowledge, Information, and Research at KU Leuven and a Professor of Occupational Medicine for the Ephor Project EU, which began in January 2020. Lode Godderis has previous experience as a postdoctoral researcher in the Molecular and Environmental Toxicology Lab at the University of California, Berkeley in 2008. Lode Godderis holds a Doctorate in Medical/Health Management from KU Leuven and completed an Advanced Management Program in Business Administration at INSEAD in 2022.
