Paulo Alexandre Simonetti is a professional with extensive experience in innovation, bioeconomy, and education. Currently serving as the Gerente de Inovação em Bioeconomia at Idesam since April 2022, Paulo leads the Programa Prioritário de Bioeconomia (PPBio), a federal initiative that facilitates investment in research and development within the Amazon region. Additionally, Paulo has held teaching positions in post-graduate courses focused on innovation and sustainability. Previous roles include scientific researcher at FAPEAM, where contributions were made to COVID-19 diagnostic testing, and founder of a cosmetics startup leveraging Amazonian resources. Paulo's academic qualifications include an MBA in Gestão de Negócios from USP/Esalq and a Master's in Biotecnologia from Universidade Federal do Amazonas, alongside various other credentials related to chemistry and cosmetic technology.
