Jorge Piovesan began their work experience in 2003 as a Sales Engineer at Rentametric. Jorge then worked as a Systems Engineer at K&A Wireless in 2007, before being promoted to Research Engineer in 2009. In 2012, they became a Senior Research Scientist at K&A Wireless, where they played a key role in developing video delivery solutions for the firefighting market. In 2016, they joined IDEAS Engineering & Technology as the Director of Engineering. Throughout their career, Jorge has conducted extensive research in the fields of robot navigation algorithms and teleautonomy for mobile robots and has published several academic papers.

Jorge Piovesan completed their education with a Ph.D. in Engineering from The University of New Mexico, which they pursued from 2006 to 2009. Prior to that, they obtained their M.S. in Electrical Engineering from The University of New Mexico from 2004 to 2005. Jorge'sundergraduate degree, a B.S. in Electronic Systems Engineering, was earned from Escuela Militar de Ingenieria between 1998 and 2002. Additionally, there is mention of Jorge attending Saint Andrew's School, but no further information about their degree or field of study.
