Dr. Matt Kennedy serves as the Director and Global Leader for Climate Strategy Services at Arup, where responsibilities include overseeing climate and sustainability initiatives across Europe in infrastructure, buildings, and cities. In addition to this role, Matt acts as a Non-Executive Director at An Post and a Board Member at Fáilte Ireland, contributing to the growth of postal services and national tourism development in Ireland, respectively. Matt's involvement with the European Commission includes being a member of the Horizon Europe Mission Assembly for Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities and serving as a Climate Change Mitigation Expert. Previous positions encompass advisory roles with the United Nations Environment Programme and participation in significant international climate negotiations. Dr. Kennedy holds multiple degrees, including a PhD in Sustainable Energy and Environmental Engineering from Trinity College Dublin and an MBA from University College Dublin.
