James Hill has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. James began their career in the US Navy, serving as an Aviation Electrician's Mate Petty Officer 3rd Class and taking on the responsibility of maintaining and inspecting various aircraft systems. After leaving the Navy, James worked as an Operations Specialist at Raytheon E-systems. James then joined ADIC (Quantum) as a Systems Engineer, where they provided technical sales support and 24x7 support for mission-critical infrastructure projects. James went on to work at Dell Inc as a Storage Systems Senior Analyst and later became the Remote Services Team Lead, where they focused on planning and designing remote deployments in enterprise environments. James then joined Dell Federal Services as a Program Executive, where they worked until 2018. In 2018, James joined ID Technologies, first as the Director of Special Programs and later as a Senior Account Executive, specializing in business development and problem-solving for federal law enforcement and the intelligence community.

James Hill has a diverse education history. In 1995, they began studying AC/DC Theory, Avionics, and electromechanical systems in the United States Navy. James pursued this field of study until 1999. In 2000, they attended Strayer University for a brief period and focused on Computer Information Systems. James also obtained several certifications in different years, including Compellent Certified Storage Architect from Dell Compellent in July 2011, ITIL V3 Foundation from Exin in February 2010, Brocade Certified Fabric Professional from Brocade in July 2008, SNIA Certified Storage Professional from SNIA in June 2008, EMCPA from EMC in May 2008, and Commvault Certified System Administrator from Commvault in January 2008.
