Ryan Jacobchick has a diverse work experience in the field of application and product security. Ryan is currently the Director of Application and Product Security at ID.me since August 2022.

Prior to that, Ryan worked at Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey from August 2019 to August 2022. During their time there, they held the role of Sr. Manager, Security Architecture where they served as a thought leader on secure design, development, and testing of software. Ryan also acted as a technical threat modeling lead and participated in advisory councils in security, technical risk, and technology review. Before that, they were a Security Architect at the same company, where they served as a team lead and subject matter expert on secure design, development, and testing of software. Ryan provided secure architecture guidance and reliability/performance recommendations to enterprise architects and developers.

From 2016 to 2019, Ryan worked at Synopsys Inc as a Senior Consultant and later as a Consultant, focusing on deepening their subject matter expertise in code-level vulnerabilities. Ryan also served as an application security evangelist, presenting organizational findings to foster adoption of application security process and tools across multiple clients.

Prior to that, they worked at Cigital, Inc (A Part of Synopsys) from 2015 to 2016. Ryan held the role of Consultant and Associate Consultant, where they participated in strategic engagements for financial services clients, performed targeted vulnerability identification and remediation using SAST and secure design reviews. Ryan also contributed to the internal application vulnerability knowledge base.

Ryan has additional work experience as an Independent Contractor at DSM Nutritional Products from 2010 to 2015, specializing in business process for interim procedures during acquisitions, including SAP master data management and supply chain roles. Ryan also worked as an Intern at Cigital, Inc (A Part of Synopsys) in 2015, where they designed and developed an attack/exploitation system focused on establishing remote command and control of Windows devices.

Overall, Ryan Jacobchick has a strong background in application and product security, with expertise in secure design, development, and testing of software, threat modeling, and vulnerability identification and remediation.

Ryan Jacobchick completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the New Jersey Institute of Technology from 2013 to 2015. Ryan later pursued further education and obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology, which they attended from 2020 to 2024. In addition to their academic achievements, Ryan also holds multiple certifications including the Open Group Certified: Open FAIR™ Foundation from The Open Group obtained in August 2021, the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² obtained in September 2020, the GIAC Defensible Security Architecture (GDSA) from GIAC Certifications obtained in January 2020, and the HealthCare Information Security and Privacy Practitioner (HCISPP) from (ISC)² obtained in September 2019.
