Nuno Dinis Alves, PhD, is an accomplished researcher currently serving as a Junior Researcher at ICVS - Life and Health Sciences Research Institute and a Scientist at Bn'ML - Behavioral & Molecular Lab since April 2023. Alves holds multiple editorial roles, including Review Editor for Frontiers in Neuroscience and Frontiers in Pharmacology, and has been an ad hoc reviewer for Communications Biology and Frontiers in Psychiatry since 2020. Previous positions include Associate Research Scientist and Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Columbia University and its Department of Psychiatry, along with editorial roles as Guest Associate Editor for Frontiers in Behavioral Neuroscience. An experienced mentor, Alves was involved with the International Mentoring Project - IMFAHE and served on the Junior Members Advisory Panel for the European College of Neuropsychopharmacology from April 2016 to March 2019.
