Ramnath Krishnan has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Ramnath began their career at HSBC in 1995 and held multiple roles within the company, ultimately serving as the Chief Risk Officer for HSBC Bank Malaysia Berhad until 2017. In 2018, they joined RBL Bank as the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) and stayed with the company until 2020. Currently, Ramnath Krishnan is the Managing Director & Group CEO at ICRA, a role they assumed in October 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of President Ratings at ICRA from July 2020 to October 2021.
Ramnath Krishnan attended Montfort Boys School in Yercaud, India until 1980. Ramnath then went on to complete a Bachelor's degree in Economics, Mathematics, and Statistics at Loyola College in Chennai, India in 1983. Following this, they attended the Institute of Chartered Accountants and Cost Accountants, where they obtained an ACA and Grad CWA degree in an unspecified field of study in 1987.
