Chris Smyth serves as the President of ICON Biotech at ICON plc, a position held since August 2023. Prior professional experience includes serving as President and Chief Operating Officer of IQVIA Biotech from February 2019 to March 2023. Chris Smyth was also an Executive Board Member at Fight Cancer Global and held various leadership roles at Novella Clinical prior to its integration into IQVIA, including Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of the Oncology Division. Earlier experience includes senior positions at INC Research, Ziopharm Oncology, Antisoma, CPR Europe, and MDS Pharma Services. Chris Smyth's academic credentials include a PhD in Reproductive Endocrinology from The University of Edinburgh, an MBA in Pharmaceutical Alliances from Henley Business School, and a BSc in Biochemistry from the University of Kent.
