Ryan Sainsott has a diverse work experience in various industries. Ryan started their career at Spencer Gifts as a Planning Analyst, where they implemented a new data-driven approach to retail, resulting in a 15% increase in revenue. Ryan then joined Macy's as an Associate Planner, where they quickly moved up the ranks to become a Senior Director in Merchandise Planning and Inventory Management. During their time at Macy's, they successfully turned around the Fashion Watch division, launched smart watches, and managed key vendor relationships, earning him the "Making Magic" award twice.
Ryan later joined Iconix International as the Senior Director of Retail Analytics, Strategy, and Market Research, where they recruited to elevate brand visibility and build opportunities. Ryan implemented forecasting methodologies, data analyses, and planning strategies, resulting in increased productivity, profit, and winning new business from top partners and licensees. Ryan was then promoted to Vice President of Brand Management, Business Development, & Operations in the Mens Division, where they oversaw brand management and operations for all teams, identified and presented new business ideas to partners, and mentored colleagues in data-driven techniques.
Currently, Ryan holds the position of Senior Vice President of Brand Management, Business Development, & Operations at Iconix International. In this role, they spearhead new business initiatives, negotiates representation of new brands to expand the company portfolio, acts as a liaison between international and domestic teams, cultivates business development, and offers market and analytics research mentoring to colleagues. Ryan has played a key role in increasing company revenue through trusted partner relations and building portfolio/marketing plans for commercial licensing deals.
Ryan Sainsott completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Computer Science with a focus on Systems Analysis at the Pennsylvania College of Technology. This educational achievement took place sometime before the year 2007.
