Hiba Kariem is an experienced professional in climate change adaptation and resilience, currently serving as the Adaptation Program Lead at ICLEI Canada since December 2017. In this role, Hiba leads capacity-building programs for municipalities, facilitating measurement of climate risks and planning for adaptation actions. Additional responsibilities have included the creation of decision-support tools and best practice guidelines for local governments. Hiba's experience extends to various positions at ICLEI, including Climate Change Project Coordinator and Project Officer, as well as roles at organizations such as Greenpeace and the David Suzuki Foundation. Hiba holds an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Environmental Studies from the University of Toronto, completed in 2017.
