Carlos Limardo has an extensive work experience in the field of software engineering and development. Carlos started their career as a Jr. Web Applications Developer at Paramax, Inc., where they built and customized web-based incentive software applications. Carlos then worked as a Network Administrator and Sr. Web Applications Developer at Musical Heritage Society, where they were responsible for internal network and infrastructure and led the development of eCommerce websites.
After that, Carlos joined The Jazz Store as a Technical Director, where they led web development and maintenance. Carlos implemented and oversaw the infrastructure for a virtual network of three remote locations. Later, they joined Sentient Interactive as a UI Developer, where they developed responsive interactive marketing campaigns for medium to large organizations across different markets.
In 2014, Carlos joined iCIMS as a UI Developer II and eventually progressed to the role of UI Developer III. Carlos led UI development and user testing of the first iPhone application, and architectured a React component library and framework for all web applications. Carlos also developed frameworks and processes for documenting component and pattern libraries as well as enhancing the developer experience for front-end/UI development.
In 2019, Carlos was promoted to the role of Software Engineer IV at iCIMS. In this role, they served as an architect for a new component-based design system, worked on streamlining collaboration between teams, and implemented front-end frameworks, tools, and processes for internationalizing React and React Native applications. Carlos was heavily involved in iCIMS' Diversity & Inclusion committee, iBelong, where they focused on hiring and recruiting candidates from non-traditional backgrounds and encouraged students from under-represented communities to enter STEM fields.
Currently, Carlos is working as a Principal Software Engineer at iCIMS. Their responsibilities include representing iCIMS in technical meetups and conferences, building and maintaining generators and frameworks for iCIMS node applications, and simplifying the development and release lifecycle of iCIMS' next-generation component library.
Carlos Limardo attended Ocean Township Highschool from 1998 to 2001. Carlos then went on to study Computer Science and Networking at Monmouth County Vocational School District from 1999 to 2001.
