Robert Hill has gained valuable work experience in various research and development roles. Robert currently works at Iceotope Technologies Limited as a Senior R&D Engineer, where they started in May 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Research and Development Engineer at the same company from November 2022 to May 2023.

Before joining Iceotope Technologies, Robert worked at The University of Sheffield, where they held multiple roles. Robert started as a PHD Researcher in September 2018, conducting research on the level of comfort experienced when wearing earplugs and characterizing friction between materials and the human body. Robert also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant from September 2018 to November 2022 and a Guest Lecturer from January 2022 to September 2022.

In 2018, Robert gained technical internship experience at Amtico. Robert conducted tests to assess and improve the quality of polymer flooring and contributed to rewriting risk assessments and SOPs.

Prior to that, Robert worked as a Researcher at Swansea University from September 2016 to July 2017. In this role, they improved the design of Team GB's Olympic Rugby Wheelchairs by developing a more durable adhesive coating and surface treating polypropylene.

Overall, Robert's work experience showcases their expertise in research and development, particularly in the areas of materials testing, product design, and improving user comfort.

Robert Hill obtained a Bachelor's degree in Sports Materials from Swansea University in 2016. Robert then pursued a Master of Science degree by Research in Materials Engineering at Swansea University from 2016 to 2017. Following this, they enrolled at The University of Sheffield in 2018 and completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Integrated Tribology in 2022.
