Maria Barreto Calheiros has a diverse work experience. Maria started their career as an Accounting Department Intern at ALS ControlVet, where they gained skills in invoice processing, treasury planning, and account statements. Maria then joined BNP Paribas CIB, where they held various roles including Credit Sales Support, Head of CDS Sales Support Team, and FXLM EMEA Sales. Maria'sresponsibilities included providing support in credit sales, managing the CDS sales support team, and sales in the FXLM EMEA region. Most recently, Maria joined iCapital as the Client Solutions Europe - A. Vice President.

Maria Barreto Calheiros has a solid educational background in the field of economics and information management. Maria obtained their Bachelor's degree in Economics from Universidade de Coimbra in 2016. In 2015, they also participated in an exchange semester at Università di Pavia, further enriching their knowledge in economics.

Maria went on to pursue higher education and completed a Master's degree in Statistics and Information Management, with a specialization in Risk Analysis and Management, from NOVA IMS Information Management School. Maria attended this program from 2018 to 2020. Additionally, in 2018 and 2019, they took part in a Postgraduate Program at the same institution, focusing on Financial Markets and Risks.

To enhance their professional qualifications, Maria also obtained several certifications. In 2021, they earned the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) certification from the Financial Conduct Authority. Furthermore, they received the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) certification from the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) – France and the National Futures Association (NFA) certification from the National Futures Association in 2021 as well.
