Thomas Chea

Executive Vice President APAC & Africa at ICAPE Group

Thomas CHEA has a diverse and extensive work experience in the technology industry. Thomas began their career in 2001 as the European Marketing Manager for MMC solutions at Atmel, where they focused on marketing their IC products for Wireless LAN, Bluetooth, and USB technology.

In 2005, Thomas joined Elmos as an Area Sales Manager for Southern Europe, where they successfully managed sales activities in the region until 2007. Thomas then moved to ICAPE Group as the International Biz Development Manager, responsible for expanding the company's business internationally.

In 2008, Thomas joined ROHM Semiconductor Europe as the Regional Sales Manager for the Automotive Group. Thomas excelled in this role until 2010 when they returned to ICAPE Group, this time as the Group Marketing Director. In this position, they defined and implemented the group's marketing strategy, coordinated international business development, and managed various e-marketing and communication initiatives, including multilingual web portals, B2B e-mailing, and press communication. Thomas also organized global exhibitions in multiple countries.

In 2013, Thomas was promoted to the role of Emerging Markets & Group Marketing Director at ICAPE Group, further expanding their responsibilities. In 2014, they became the Vice President for Asia, overseeing operations and driving growth in the region.

Most recently, Thomas has been serving as the Executive Vice President for APAC & Africa at ICAPE Group since March 2021. With their extensive experience in various leadership positions, Thomas has demonstrated a strong track record in marketing, business development, and international expansion within the technology industry.

Thomas Chea obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Télécom Paris, completing their studies between 1988 and 1991. Thomas then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Administration and General Management at IAE Paris - Sorbonne Business School from 1995 to 1997.
