Johan Pettersson's work experience includes various roles in the field of data engineering and architecture. Johan is currently working as a Lead Data Engineer at ICA Sverige AB. Prior to this, they founded their own company, Big Data AB, where they served as a consultant. Johan has also worked as a Senior Data Engineer at Storytel and ICA Gruppen. Other notable positions include Data Engineer at Embark Studios, Big Data Specialist at Kivra, Solution Architect at Tele2, Contractor at the Swedish Armed Forces, and Product Owner at Kambi. Johan has expertise in areas such as data pipeline, data store, big data architecture, and analytics. Johan has also designed and implemented a data warehouse and analytics infrastructure based on Hadoop technology during their time at Svenska Spel.

Johan Pettersson attended Stockholm University from 1990 to 2004, where they studied Mathematics, Computer & systems science, and Practical philosophy. In 2019, they obtained a certification as a Professional Data Engineer from Google Cloud.
