Jose Rodriguez Leon has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Jose began their career as an Infantryman in the US Army, where they served from January 2010 to February 2015. During this time, they took on the role of Armorer and demonstrated exceptional skills in managing inventory and providing guidance to company leadership.

After their military service, Jose joined The Posse Foundation as a Posse Veteran Scholar. Jose was selected as one of ten veterans out of over 700 candidates to receive a full-tuition leadership scholarship. During their time with the foundation from August 2015 to May 2019, they attended the University of Chicago, University of Virginia, Vassar College, or Wesleyan University as part of a cohesive cohort.

Following their scholarship, Jose worked as a Finance Clerk at Kawa Orthodontics & Oral Surgery from August 2019 to February 2021. In this role, they managed bookkeeping tasks and assisted customers with insurance updates, payments, and negotiation of payment plans.

Moving into the IT field, Jose held positions at two different companies. At Knight Capital Funding, they first served as a Jr. Underwriter from February 2021 to September 2021. Jose reviewed and verified MCA applications, assessed documents, and manually analyzed bank statements for risk assessment. Jose then transitioned to the role of SBA Credit Analyst from September 2021 to July 2022, where they checked incoming SBA 7a loans for accurate documentation and underwrote simpler loans.

Jose then joined iBusiness Funding, where they served as an IT Support Specialist from July 2022 to October 2022. In this role, they identified and resolved issues related to hardware, software, and computer systems, including the migration of systems from Windows 10 to Windows 11. Jose also worked as an Information Technology System Analyst, responsible for monitoring, incident identification, assessment, reporting, and mitigation.

Jose Rodriguez Leon completed their Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Wesleyan University, where they studied from 2015 to 2019. In addition, Jose obtained the Certified in Cybersecurity (CC) certification from (ISC)² in April 2023 and CompTIA Security+ ce Certification from CompTIA in March 2023.
