Abdulrahman Alassi has several years of work experience, starting with an Engineering Internship at Translink in 2013. Abdulrahman then worked as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant at Qatar University from September 2014 to August 2016. After that, they joined Qatar University again as a Research Assistant from November 2016 to October 2017. In 2017, Alassi started working at Iberdrola as an Electrical R&D Engineer, a position they held until December 2020. Currently, they are employed at Iberdrola as a Senior Engineer (Team Lead) from January 2021.

Abdulrahman Alassi completed their education with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Strathclyde, from 2019 to 2023. Prior to that, they obtained a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Qatar University from 2014 to 2016. Abdulrahman also holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Qatar University, earned from 2010 to 2014. Abdulrahman Alassi has an additional certification, the UPDA Engineering Certificate, from the Ministry of Municipality and Environment in Qatar.
