Hong Lu has a strong and diverse work experience in the software engineering field. Hong has worked in various companies, starting from their role as a Software Engineer at Cyra Technologies in 1998. Hong then moved on to Corechange in 2000, where they continued to work as a Software Engineer. In 2003, they joined Open Text as a Senior Software Engineer. Following that, they worked at CardScan and DYMO/CardScan from 2004 to 2009 as a Senior Software Engineer. Finally, they joined Iatric Systems in 2009 as a Master Application Developer. Hong Lu's experience spans over multiple companies and roles throughout their career.

Hong Lu obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Sichuan University, where they studied from 1986 to 1990. Hong then pursued a Master of Science degree in Physics at the same institution from 1990 to 1993. Later, Hong Lu pursued another Master of Science degree in Engineering at The University of Toledo, where they studied from 1996 to 1998.
