Dan Hammerlid is a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer with a focus on RISC-V and Arm tools at IAR Systems AB since May 1997, specializing in simulators and hardware debuggers as part of the IAR Embedded Workbench. Previous roles include project leadership and senior software engineering for C/C++ compilers and embedded microcontrollers, with notable collaboration on projects with a major Japanese semiconductor company. Dan's background also includes significant contributions to Motorola/Freescale tools and development of communication protocols for Ericsson Components AB, as well as work on the Siemens C16x microcontroller family. Dan holds an M.Sc. in Business and Economics from Uppsala University and an M.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering from Linköping University.
