Daniela Leinen has extensive work experience in procurement and management roles. Daniela most recently worked as the Director MTPS in the Office of Procurement Services at IAEA, starting in May 2020. Prior to that, they were the Deputy Director of UNRWA Affairs in Lebanon from September 2017 to May 2020. From 2015 to 2017, they served as the Chief of Procurement at the Special Tribunal for Lebanon, where they were responsible for managing worldwide procurement activities. Daniela also worked at UNOPS as a Procurement Process Lead and a Procurement Specialist, contributing to the improvement of procurement processes. Daniela Leinen has significant experience in procurement and logistics policies, having held positions at UN Women and UNRWA. Daniela began their career at the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons as a Procurement Evaluation Officer and later worked at OSCE as a Contracts Officer and Procurement Officer. Daniela also has prior experience in sales and event management roles at Bukkehave A/S and First Class, respectively.
Daniela Leinen attended Main-Taunus-Schule Hofheim from 1987 to 1990. From 1990 to 1998, they studied Germanic Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics, as well as English Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz.
