Cheryl Sulock, CMP, CSEP has over 20 years of experience in event management and convention planning. Cheryl currently serves as the Director of Global Sponsorship and Advertising at IAAPA. Prior to this, Cheryl worked as the Director of Convention & Trade Show at FRSA, where they were responsible for exhibitor booth sales, securing sponsorships, and negotiating contracts for annual events. Cheryl also served as an Event Manager at the Orange County Convention Center and held management positions at Nickelodeon Family Suites, Star Island Resort & Club, and Walt Disney World. Cheryl's extensive experience in the industry makes their a valuable asset in planning and managing successful events.
Cheryl Sulock, CMP, CSEP obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Theatre/Theatre Arts Management from the State University of New York at Fredonia. In addition to their degree, they have acquired several certifications throughout their career. These include the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) certification from the Convention Industry Council, which they received in July 2011. Cheryl also holds the Certified Special Events Professional (CSEP) certification from the International Live Events Association (ILEA), which they obtained in June 2012. Furthermore, they have a Certified Hospitality Supervisor (CHS) certification from AHLEI - American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute, earned in November 2005. Lastly, Cheryl completed a Disney College and International Program Internship at Walt Disney World in May 2001. Recently, in December 2021, they obtained an Association Digital Marketing Certificate from the Association Marketing Academy.
