Kate Totten is a Senior Data Engineer at Douglas County since March 2023, and has also been a Data Specialist at i4 Insight since July 2021, focusing on tabular modeling, Power BI development, and Databricks ETL for the shipping industry. Previously, Kate worked as a Business Intelligence Engineer at National CineMedia from November 2015 to July 2021, and as a Lead Technologist at GE Healthcare from August 2014 to November 2015. Additional experience includes roles as an IT Analyst in data warehousing at Thermo Fisher Scientific, and as a BI Developer at The Breakaway Group, among others. Kate served as Chapter Leader for the Boulder SQL Server Users Group from 2009 to 2011 and held an architectural position at Level 3 Communications from 1999 to 2011. Kate holds a B.A. in Biochemistry from The University of Kansas, earned between 1979 and 1984.
