Carsten Weiss is an experienced professional in the automotive electronics industry, currently serving as Vice President and Head of IVI Lab/IVI System Development Center at Hyundai MOBIS, based in Seoul, South Korea, since May 2018. At Hyundai MOBIS, Carsten Weiss leads a passionate team in developing competitive products in the interior electronics domain, including Multimedia Head Units, Information Displays, and Car Connectivity Units. Additionally, Carsten Weiss holds the position of Vice President and Head of IVI Software Development at Envisics since October 2020 and is a Member of the Board at Continental, where prior roles include Director of Product Development for European Customers and Director of Systems and Platforms. Earlier experience includes a decade at Alpine Electronics R&D Europe GmbH, focusing on In-Vehicle Infotainment and automotive electronics. Carsten Weiss obtained a Dr. rer. nat. degree in Physics from RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau between 1997 and 2001.
