Mark Romano has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Mark is currently working as a Research and Development Engineering Manager at Hysata since August 2021. Prior to this, they worked at AQUAHYDREX, INC for several years, where they held various positions including Senior Process Engineer, Team Leader - Catalyst Development and Testing, and Research and Development Engineer. During their tenure at AQUAHYDREX, Mark demonstrated expertise in electrochemistry and characterization techniques, resulting in the development of electrodes for electrolysis and publishing 2 patents. Mark also played a key role in the design and validation of a device for testing product reliability, which led to over 5000 hours of continuous run time. Mark Romano completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Metallurgical Engineering at the University of the Philippines in 2003. Mark then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Materials Science and Engineering at the same university from 2003 to 2008.
Following their master's degree, Mark Romano enrolled at the University of Wollongong, where they earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Materials Chemistry from 2010 to 2014.
In addition to their formal education, Mark Romano has obtained several certifications.
