Chris Bobko has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Chris is currently the Director of The Zahn Innovation Center at CCNY, where they lead initiatives to teach students about entrepreneurship and expand their knowledge of business, technology, and engineering. Prior to this, Chris worked as a Technology Integration Expert at Stratalis Consulting.
Before entering the consulting industry, Chris held key positions at Hyperloop Transportation Technologies, Inc., including Chief Engineering Officer and Head of Engineering Integration. In these roles, they oversaw multiple engineering teams and assessed the needs of internal and external stakeholders to drive innovation and maintain innovation roadmaps. Chris also played a crucial role in screening technology partners and supporting intellectual property development and protection.
Earlier in their career, Chris served as an Associate Professor at NC State University, specializing in Structural Engineering and Mechanics and Mechanics and Materials Groups. During their time at NC State, they conducted research projects and utilized advanced experimental techniques, modeling, and numerical analysis in material applications. Chris also spent several years as a Graduate Research Assistant at MIT and served as the General Manager at WMBR.
Chris Bobko completed their education with a Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where they attended from 2005 to 2008. Prior to their Ph.D., they obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in the same field from MIT, studying from 2003 to 2005. Chris began their academic journey at Princeton University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (B.S.E) in Civil and Environmental Engineering. Chris attended Princeton from 1999 to 2003.
