Sam Bass has worked in a variety of roles across different industries since 2010. Sam began their career as a Barista at The Chocolate Box and RoadChef Motorway Ltd, where they were able to work fast in a high pressure environment. Sam then moved on to become a Student Ambassador at University College London, where they were responsible for giving tours, helping with taster lectures, and promoting higher education to young people of various ages. Sam then took on the role of Head of Music at Rare FM, arranging press passes, interviews, and promo materials for a team of journalists, as well as working on a committee to arrange events, charity work, and social activities. In 2013, they became a Floor Team Member at Wasabi Sushi and Bento, where they worked in the kitchens, stocked shelves, operated tills, and cleaned and closed up. Sam then moved on to become a Security Guard at G4S in 2012. In 2015, Sam joined Deloitte UK as a Consulting Analyst in Technology as part of the Analytics and Information Management Group, working primarily as an automation engineer for continuous integration and continuous testing. In 2017, they became the Platform Architect and Technical Leader and Lead DevOps Engineer at WIREWAX. Sam then moved on to become a Senior Engineer at Vimeo in 2022, before taking on the role of Customer Engineer at hyperexponential in 2023.
Sam Bass attended Wellington School, Somerset from 2002 to 2010 and then went on to study Medical Physics at University College London, U. of London, graduating with an MSci in 2015.
