Hrag Vartanian is a seasoned editor and media professional currently serving as the Editor in Chief at Hyperallergic since August 2009, where a focus is placed on art criticism through a blogazine, journal, and podcast format. Previous roles include editorial liaison for Ararat Magazine, Director of Digital Media & Publications at AGBU, and staff writer for both Brooklyn Rail and Art21 Blog. Vartanian also contributed as a board member for the Triangle Arts Association, supporting emerging artists. Academic credentials include a Master’s degree in Art History from the University of Toronto.
