Charles is the current Head of Market at hylo. Prior to that, they were the Key Account Manager at Jumia Kenya from January 2016 to May 2020. In that role, they were responsible for acting as a trusted advisor to the Key Accounts, collaborating with Key Accounts brands and their partners to develop clear business objectives, and high impact digital marketing programs. Charles also planned and managed campaigns with Key Accounts, and ensured that both internal and external objectives were met. In addition, they improved and shared project management processes, standards, templates, and best practices with both the internal team and the client's team.

Before their work at Jumia Kenya, Charles was an intern at the National Drought Management Authority from September 2014 to December 2015. In that role, they were responsible for supply chain management.

Charles has a bachelor's degree in purchasing and supplies management from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. Charles also has an associate's degree in computer programming from Zetech University College. In addition, they are certified by the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM) as a Certified Procurement and Supply Chain Professional (CPSP-K) and by EF Education First as an EFSET 61 Advanced (CEFR C1).
