Cheryl Smith is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in risk management and client services. Currently serving as a Senior Client Service Manager at Hylant since November 2020, Cheryl fosters strategic relationships and manages risk through innovative insurance program design and alternative risk transfer. In addition, Cheryl operates as the Operations Manager for a real estate investment company, overseeing acquisition, sales, and tenant management since April 2019. Previously, Cheryl worked as the Director of Risk Management at Wayne County Airport Authority, where responsibilities included corporate insurance management, claims oversight, employee safety, and budget management from May 2014 to January 2019. Further back, Cheryl held the position of Vice President at Marsh for nearly 25 years, specializing in risk management and insurance program administration for aviation and public entities. Cheryl also contributed to the Michigan Public Risk Management Association as the newsletter chair and program committee member from 2005 to 2010.
