Kushal Ghate is currently a Turbomachinery and Propulsion Engineer at HyImpulse, starting in January 2024. Previously, Kushal worked as a Research Associate at the University of Strathclyde from April 2021 to December 2023, focusing on the imaging of non-volatile particulates in combustion systems. Prior to that, Kushal held multiple roles at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras from June 2015 to March 2021, including Project Officer, Institute Post-Doctoral Fellow, and Research PhD Student, specializing in air-blast injectors and spray analysis. Kushal began a career as a Design Engineer at DMW Corporation in 2013, designing equipment for the oil and gas sector. Academic credentials include a PhD and MTech in Thermal Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from COEP Technological University.
