Ravi Vasudevan has a diverse range of work experience in the field of solar energy. Ravi is currently working as the R&D Program Lead in Reliability at HyET Solar Netherlands B.V. Prior to this, they worked as a Scientific Collaborator at PVsyst SA from 2021 to 2022.
From 2017 to 2019, Ravi worked as a Research Engineer at INES - Institut National de l'Energie Solaire, where they managed a European project on IBC-SHJ solar cells. During this time, they planned experiments, analyzed results, and performed economic feasibility analyses using cost of ownership and levelized cost of energy calculations.
Before joining INES, Ravi was associated with TU Delft. Ravi served as a Post-Doc from 2015 to 2017, where they developed online educational resources for professionals using the edX platform and managed a team of student assistants and professors. Prior to this, they worked as a PhD Candidate from 2011 to 2015, studying light and annealing induced effects on silicon heterojunction passivation and engineering silicon-based tandem cells for water splitting applications.
Ravi also gained industry experience as a Solar Energy Intern at Kamworks Ltd in 2010 and as a Junior Electrical Engineer at Granite Power Technologies in 2009.
Ravi Vasudevan completed their education as follows:
- From 2011 to 2016, they attended Delft University of Technology and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Photovoltaics.
- Between 2009 and 2011, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Sustainable Energy Technologies at Delft University of Technology.
- From 2004 to 2008, they attended Worcester Polytechnic Institute and earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
- Lastly, from 2001 to 2004, they attended Westford Academy for their high school education.
