Dana McDonald

Chief Ethics Officer - Interim at Hydro One

Dana McDonald has extensive work experience in various legal and ethical roles. They started their career as a Customs Officer at the Canada Border Services Agency in 1999. They then worked as a Law Student at the Law office of John Liddle, specializing in criminal defense. In 2004, McDonald gained experience as a Law Student at Miller Canfield. They later worked as an Articling Student at McTague Law Firm in 2005. McDonald joined the Ministry of Labour (Ontario) in 2006 as a Labour Relations Analyst. They then moved on to the Ministry of Government Services in 2007, working as a Corporate Staff Relations Advisor for a few months. Since 2007, McDonald has been with Hydro One, starting as a Legal Counsel and progressing to Senior Legal Counsel and Manager, Corporate Ethics. In their most recent role, they served as the Chief Ethics Officer - Interim. Throughout their career, McDonald has displayed expertise in employment and labor law, corporate ethics, and risk mitigation strategy. They have also been involved in investigations, litigation, legal representation, and providing legal advice and counsel to various committees and stakeholders.

Dana McDonald obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Physiology and Psychology from Western University in 2002. Following this, Dana pursued a degree in Law at the University of Windsor from 2002 to 2005, earning an LL.B.
