Richard Evans has extensive experience in the housing industry, with their most recent role being the Portfolio Management Director at The Hyde Group since 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Metropolitan Thames Valley as the Development Director - Innovation & Partnerships from 2019 to 2022, and as the Land Director (interim) from August to December 2018. From 2015 to 2018, Evans was the Development Director - New Business at Peabody, where they led the Land & New Business teams and played a key role in planning and executing a merger. Richard also established and served as a Board director for the organization's first off-balance sheet joint venture. Before Peabody, Evans held various roles at Thames Valley Housing Association from 2007 to 2015, including Deputy Group Commercial Director and Assistant Director, Strategic Partnerships. Richard was involved in projects to deliver affordable homes and led the organization's participation in joint ventures. Evans started their career as a Development Manager at Dominion Housing Group from 2006 to 2007.

Richard Evans obtained a B.Soc.Sc (Joint Hons) degree in Politics and Philosophy from the University of Birmingham, where they studied from 1992 to 1995.
