Karen Colvin, M. Ed., currently serves as the Manager of STEM Curriculum and Programs at Huntsville Botanical Garden since March 2022. Prior experience includes a role as an Educator at Huntsville City Schools from July 2013 to February 2023, and an earlier position as an Educator at Madison City Schools from January 1998 to May 2013, as well as at the School Board of Brevard County from January 1989 to September 1997. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Elementary Education from Alabama A&M University and various certifications in Educational Leadership, Gifted Education, and Early Childhood Education from The University of Alabama, Alabama A&M University, and the University of Central Florida, respectively. The academic foundation includes a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Louisiana Tech University.
