Cristhian Lamas has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several companies and roles. In 2006, they started as a Practicante universitario at Owens Illinois de Venezuela. From 2008 to 2009, they worked as an Ingeniero de Servicios at SSO - Servicios y Suministro de Oriente S.A., where they managed maintenance projects in high-pressure oil well fields in Venezuela.
In 2009, Cristhian joined SAMFOR S.A. as an Inspector mecánico, overseeing the construction and installation of gas pipelines and distribution systems. Cristhian conducted inspections and tests, including hydrostatic and pressure tests, and was responsible for quality control.
From 2011 to 2013, they worked at Inspectra S.A. as an Ingeniero de diseño mecánico, where they focused on design and supervision of mechanical projects, including pressure vessels and piping systems.
In 2013, Cristhian joined GMI S.A. Ingenieros Consultores as an Ingeniero de Diseño A, responsible for engineering projects in the areas of mechanics, metallurgy, piping, and associated structures. Cristhian worked on various projects, including gas plants for companies like Pluspetrol and Repsol.
From 2017 to 2018, Cristhian served as an Ingeniero Mecánico Senior at ARC ENERGY CONSULTING S.A.C., supervising and coordinating projects in the oil and gas industry. Cristhian'sresponsibilities included implementing production battery plants, reviewing ASME VIII and API vessel designs, and designing piping systems.
From 2018 to 2020, they were the Responsable de Oficina Técnica at FENIX INGENIEROS SAC / SYSIND S.A.C. para PLUSPETROL S.A., where they managed technical office operations.
In 2020, Cristhian joined INSPECTRA S.A. as an Ingeniero Senior Mecánico, responsible for senior mechanical engineering work until 2021.
Currently, Cristhian Lamas is working as a Mechanical Engineer at Hunt Energy, where they apply technical knowledge to support the design, installation, and commissioning of static equipment for an LNG plant. Cristhian is involved in piping design, vessel design, heat exchangers, and tank design, and provides input for project schedules and identifies opportunities for improvement.
Cristhian Lamas obtained an Ingeniero degree in mechanical engineering from Universidad de Carabobo, which they pursued from 2001 to 2007. In 2011, they enrolled at Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas and completed a Diploma in Structural Engineering, specifically focused on the design and construction of metal buildings.
More recently, in 2020, Cristhian began their master's degree at Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos. Cristhian'sfield of study is administration and management of businesses, covering a broad range of topics in general business management.
In terms of additional certifications, Cristhian acquired a certification in Design and Construction of Pressure Vessels - ASME VIII Div 1 from Elite Training in July 2023.
