Jay Schiffman has worked in various capacities as a founder and president in multiple companies. Jay founded Thinkativity, an electronic learning company in 2005, which they successfully sold to a private equity firm in 2009. Prior to that, they worked as a principal at Jay Schiffman, Attorney at Law from 2001 to 2005. In 2010, they founded Dreamkind. Jay is currently the founder and president of Humble Crew Inc., an ecommerce startup aimed at providing affordable furniture and storage to families in need.

Jay Schiffman's education history includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Political Science from the University of Michigan, earned from 1986 to 1990. Jay then attended New York University School of Law from 1990 to 1993, earning both a J.D. and Ph.D. in Law and Political Science. Schiffman continued their education at New York University from 1997 to 2001, earning a Ph.D./J.D. in Political Science and Law.
