Keya Turkiewicz is a dedicated professional engaged in human rights advocacy and youth empowerment. Currently serving in the Freedom Fellows Program at the Human Rights Foundation, Keya provides research and organizational support aimed at enhancing the capabilities of human rights activists globally. Keya also supports the Starr Hill Pathways program at the University of Virginia, focusing on academic enrichment and college exploration for BIPOC youth. As Associate Director of the Democratic Futures Project, Keya plans public events, develops advocacy training materials, and conducts research on authoritarian practices. Previous experience includes business development at Atlantic Bay Mortgage Group, research assistance at Patel Lab, and data analysis during an internship at CDYNE Corporation. Keya is pursuing a degree at the University of Virginia after graduating from Grassfield High School in 2021.
